MERAKI Humanitarian Support is a grassroots non-profit organization based in Greece, founded through the collaboration of three NGOs: Vasilika Moon (Italy), One Bridge To- (Italy), and Aletheia RCS (Switzerland).
Active since 2020, we support asylum seekers and refugees in Corinth and Athens through inclusive projects open to everyone. Our work is made possible by a dedicated team of international volunteers and professionals who embody the spirit of meraki – doing something with love and care.
We offer language classes, essentials such as clothing and food, legal and health referrals, and—most importantly—safe spaces where people can find dignity, solidarity, and connection.
With minimal administrative costs, we keep our resources where they’re most needed: directly with the people.
MERAKI Humanitarian Support is an independent organization that assists anyone who seeks support, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, age, or ability.
Meraki Humanitarian Support in Athens operates a social support and information/orientation center for people in need. Meraki works within the Victoria Community Center alongside other NGOs to help individuals access the services they are seeking.
Meraki Humanitarian Support in Corinth operates a Community Center, the Everyone School, and a Community Garden. These welcoming, community-focused spaces provide essential support to people living in the Corinth camp while they await the outcome of their asylum procedures. Our services include language classes, the distribution of essential items such as diapers and clothing, a wide range of recreational and sports activities, and essential support to help people navigate daily challenges and bureaucratic procedures.
MERAKI Humanitarian Support is also a partner of the FAYI Food Aid Network, a collaborative project formed by a network of organizations to address food insecurity among vulnerable populations in Attica. Designed as a Free Shop in central Athens, FAYI offers a welcoming space where individuals and families living below the poverty line can access nutritious food and hygiene items based on a point system that takes into account family size and age distribution.
